This is a project for promoting football talent identification and development in Petauke. As the organized football network is mainly focused on north, central and southern part of Zambia, this project aims to deliver well organized football sessions in Petauke to give talents in these rural areas the chance to develop as players alongside with personal development.
The boys and girls are divided into groups depending on age where the youngest once, 8-10 year olds, starts at 13 hours and the older practice later in the afternoons and finishing aroung 17 hours. Kids that knocks off school in the afternoon joins the older training-groups. There is about 60 children registered in our academy.
The academy practices five days a week and during the weekend we play friendly games and internal games. 2019 we will introduce our bigger boys into the amature league to get competative games.
It is also our older players in the academy that gather kids for the Ligi Yatu tournaments and being their coaches in those events.
